I watched that movie about a year ago. It’s a pretty bad movie, but it makes for some pretty strong social commentary, especially if you consider when it was made. The same social commentary though, is still applicable today.

It’s in that perfect “so bad it’s good” realm for me. Having the added benefit of David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone makes it a great cult film.

Great B rate cars and T&A film. It’s badness is what makes all the goodness.

It’s bloody awesome, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it, bought it on DVD 15 years ago or so.

That being the case...how many more female drivers in Death Race over F1? Indy Car has 2 female drivers this weekend, I believe, out of 34 cars (Pippa Mann and Simona).

Yes! Close to 27 minutes into it, during the massage scene. Not just 2, but 3 girls (2 racers and the interviewer) talking about winning the race!
...does it count that they’re naked when it happens?

LOL niiice. But honestly, for its time... Not the worst. The test is such a low threshold, but amazing how much stuff even today doesn’t make it, and stuff that does is... Charlie’s Angels.

But Stallone was so bad he was terrible. And as much as I like Carradine, his acting was so one dimensional it was truly flat. But it's definitely a classic.
